iMiNUSD for Cinelli MASH

We received an opportunity to build up one the most highly anticipated to-be-released frames this year, the green Cinelli MASH.

Ben over at Cinelli sent me this Cinelli MASH a few weeks early from the full release to see what we could do with it.

First of all, the paint on this frame is amazing. The green is a nice subtle sparkly green with the white being a shade of cream or even mother of pearl. As one would expect from Cinelli, the frame arrived flawless. A lot of people were very skeptical about this new color-way when it was unveiled at interbike earlier this year. It’s one of those “You have to see it in person” type things.

The Green is very hard to capture on camera or even explain in words. It’s a pearlescent sparkly not-so-bright green. You just have to see it in person. It’s BEAUTIFUL!

This build needed to be special. We started with a custom set of one-off polished iD42’s laced to Capagnolo Record Pista hubs and the new Continental Gator Hardshell tire to finish it off.

A Campagnolo Record Pista crankset with a custom Tomity-san “Tufram” Olympic-Ti coated Sugino ZEN chainring and a Izumi Super Toughness chain to finish off the drivetrain. The chainring was given to me by Tomity back in August of 2007 which I’ve never put on a bike. This build called for it.

The cockpit consists of the Nitto SLP bullhorns held on by a Nitto Fillet CT-80 stem. The saddle is a NOS SLR Evolution with a Thomson Seatpost.

This is definitely one of the sexiest bikes I’ve put together in a good while. Thanks to Ben over at Cinelli for giving us the opportunity to build this up. These are due to arrive in our shop in ~2 weeks. We are still taking pre-orders for the rare green Cinelli MASH. Head over here to pre-order yours today.

  1. OHHHHHHHHH MYYYYYYYYY GOOOOOOSSSSSHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!

  2. hey guys. this is indeed a nice build. however, a question on a technical side – you are using radial NDS and 1x DS lacing on high-profile rim and low-flange hub. any specific reason to it? i will take “looks-only” explanation, but if there’s more behind it, let it out! i’m asking cause thinking of putting together some nice wheelset, and really don’t want to go the boring 3x route… Cheers!

    • We laced it that way to resemble the older 16h rear track Campagnolo Shamals that are laced 1x DS and Radial NDS. The Shamals are 16h rear wheels so we knew this would be strong enough for daily use. But of course it was for the “look” of it. 🙂
