bike related crimes from the police blotter.

Here is a short list of some of the reported crimes that happened over the past few weeks in Santa Clara County.  These are just bike related crimes; many bike thefts go unreported.  If your bike gets stolen, you should report it to the police immediately.

Have the following info available:

1.  Serial Number

2.  Make and Model

3.  Description of the bike

Also, registering your bike with the National Bike Registry is a good idea.  If the authorities find your bike in Kalamazoo, Michigan, they can notify you.

Here’s the list:

Louise Court, 3 p.m. Wednesday A Specialized Enduro mountain bike was stolen during a break-in.

Tully Road and Huran Drive, 8 p.m. Thursday A male being treated at a hospital told police he was riding his bike when three males confronted and stabbed him several times.

Walnut Avenue, 11:54 Tuesday Police assisted the Menlo Park police department”s search for a bicyclist who brandished a gun.

16400 Blossom Hill Road, 2:29 p.m. Monday Two bikes were stolen from racks at Blossom Hill School.

3990 Ventura Court, 11:40 a.m. last Tuesday A dead chicken was found in the garbage.

That last one isn’t really bike related; it’s just hilarious.
